Credentialing Council

Licensing, Ordination, and Consecration of the men and women who provide pastoral leadership is a core leadership development effort for the South Pacific Alliance. It provides a hands-on relational approach to learning and becoming more effective as a spiritual leader. The goal is to help ensure that leaders possess the character and competency to oversee Jesus’ mission for the local church.

ACCREDITATION

Accreditation is the act of being officially recognized by The Christian and Missionary Alliance as qualified to serve in Alliance ministry. Upon accreditation, a person is eligible to be Licensed to lead in a South Pacific Alliance church.

To get started, first complete the Next Steps form. You will be contacted within one week with further instructions.

LICENSING

Licensing is a leadership development prerequisite for pastoral or leadership employment in a South Pacific Alliance church. Licensing involves an application, engaging a coach, and reading. Once these steps are completed, an accreditation interview is scheduled with the Credentialing Council leaders. Licensing in the South Pacific Alliance of The C&MA is the first step in becoming fully ordained and consecrated in the denomination.

ORDINATION AND CONSECRATION

The ordination and consecration process is designed for you to grow. It provides the opportunity to sharpen one’s character and competencies for ministry further. It is a hands-on relational approach to learning and becoming more effective as a spiritual leader. This process gives you a sense of affirmation in your calling. Becoming ordained and consecrated means that you have been engaged in rigorous coursework and demonstrated a clear understanding of the theological tenets of the C&MA.
